(KENORA, ON) – On Saturday, July 27, 2013 approximately 1030 am members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to two reports of Break and Enter at Lakeside locations in the City of Kenora. Police attended and learned both involved garages and the theft of power tools. Items stolen were a Craftsman 19.2 Volt Cordless drill with battery, red, black and silver in colour, a Powersmith Lithon Cordless drill with battery, green and black in colour and a Stihl MS290 Farm Boss Chainsaw and case – Serial #2744251807.
On Monday, July 29, 2013 approximately 8am the Kenora OPP responded to a report of Break and Enter to a Harbourfront area business. Shortly thereafter two more businesses in the area also made reports of Break and Enter. The second complainant reported that a 42†Samsung television, a Samsung Blue Ray Player and an older model Sony DVD player had been stolen. Investigation into the incidents is continuing.
Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents to call the OPP at 1 888 310 1122 or Crimestoppers at 1 800 222 8477. Police are also reminding the public to report suspicious persons in the area of businesses and residential areas late at night.
