(PT. EDWARD, ON) –Members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check on Venetian Boulevard in Point Edward during the early evening hours of March 17, 2015.
At 7:10 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle with two male occupants inside. Officers detected an odour of suspected Cannabis Marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. Two occupants inside the vehicle were subsequently arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Upon further investigation, police seized three baggies of suspected Cannabis Marihuana along with 15 baggies of suspected powered Cocaine.
32-year-old Jeffrey Alan RANDALL from Sarnia, Ontario is charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. 25-year-old Chad William WATSON from Pt. Edward is charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Driving a Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily available.
Both men are scheduled to appear in Sarnia Provincial Court on May 6, 2015 to answer to the charges.
