(Kaladar, ON) – On October 9th, officers with the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureaus Drug Enforcement Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team and the Kaladar OPP Detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Hwy 41 in Addington Highlands Township.
Officers seized 310 grams of marihuana from inside the residence, 22 pounds of dry marihuana and 106 marihuana plants from the property.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $153,100.
Officers also seized 4 shotguns that were unsafely stored. A steel expandable baton and compound bow were also seized.
Charged with Production of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Breach of Recognizance and Careless Storage of Firearms is 25 year-old Travis DENNIS (aka Travis BOOMHOWER) of Addington Highlands Township.
DENNIS was held in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing on Oct 24th in Provincial Court in Napanee.
The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
