WATERLOO REGION MAN FACING DRUG CHARGES

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), a West Region Highway Safety Division officer was on patrol on Paris Road, in the County of Brant.

At approximately 11:36 p.m. Wednesday July 16th, 2014, an officer observed a vehicle parked at a business on Paris Road. The officer stopped to check the vehicle and found a male in the running vehicle asleep. The officer woke the male up to check on his well-being. While the officer was talking to the driver he noticed signs of impairment. The male became combative but was taken into custody. The officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located illegal drugs.

Floyd KRAEMER 47 years of age from Waterloo Region (Cambridge) is facing the following criminal charges

Care and Control of Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drug
Assault with intent to resist arrest
Carrying a Concealed weapon
Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking (Methamphetamine)
Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)

The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on a later date to answer to the charges.
