(PEMBROKE, ON) – On July 21, 2015 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a shoplifting incident in progress at the Walmart in Laurentian Valley Township. A male and female were observed by Walmart staff exiting the store with electronics and food that they did not pay for. Both suspects were arrested by police. Jessica BAUDOIN age 27 and Daniel KING age 28, both of Bristol, Quebec are each charged with one count of Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. KING and BAUDOIN were released on Appearance Notices and are scheduled to appear on September 22, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
Police are also investigating a second incident of shoplifting at Walmart. On July 19, 2015 a male suspect in his 30’s stole twin bed and mattress from the store. The incident is still under investigation.
