Vehicle Tires Slashed On Numerous Streets In St.Marys

(ST.MARYS, ON) – On Thursday August 18, 2016, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to five mischief calls in St.Marys involving tires having been slashed on vehicles.

The calls received were from residents on James St. N., Queen St. E., Jones St. E., Elizabeth St. E, and Rogers Ave. Investigation indicates that the tires were slashed sometime between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday August 17th, and 6 a.m. Thursday August 18th, however it may have occurred prior to 12:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who has knowledge about the person(s) responsible for this senseless vandalism to contact them. They can be reached at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000. Police remind residents to report “suspicious” activities, people or vehicles in their neighbourhoods to them IMMEDIATELY.
