The Owen Sound Police Service was called to the 1100 block of 11th Street East early this morning regarding (3) individuals who were observed entering unlocked vehicles in various residential driveways. Upon arrival police were able to apprehend (2) of the Owen Sound area youths, a 15-year old youth and a 16-year old youth, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Both youths face a court date next month regarding criminal offences of prowl by night, theft and possession under $5000.
The Owen Sound Police have recovered some jewellery as a result of this incident. Police are reminding the public to ensure that valuables are stored in a safe location and unattended vehicles are locked to deter such criminal activity from occurring.
