Vehicle Stolen From Chatsworth Recovered In Hamilton

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) urge residents never to leave your vehicle unattended while it is running. A vehicle left running, unlocked and unattended is an easy target for an opportunistic thief.

On January 25, 2018 at approximately 7:51 a.m. Grey County OPP received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Centre Street residence in the Township of Chatsworth.

The vehicle, a red 2009 Nissan SL2 with Ontario licence plate BXSZ 723 was left running in the driveway. Another vehicle, a red SUV was observed backing into the victim’s driveway where an unknown male exited the SUV and entered the stolen vehicle. Both vehicles proceeded north bound on Highway 10.

On January 28, 2018 at approximately 1:07 a.m. Grey County OPP received notification from the Hamilton Police Service that the vehicle was recovered in the Hamilton area. Police continue to investigate.
