(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On January 29, 2018 at approximately 4:17 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal, single motor vehicle collision on Southgate Sideroad 41 between Southgate Road 12 and Southgate Road 14 in the Township of Southgate.
Investigation revealed that the pick-up truck was travelling northbound on Southgate Sideroad 41. It struck a concrete bridge abutment before coming to rest in the east ditch.
The lone driver, 19-year old Shylin MOSSEY, of the Municipality of West Grey, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post mortem is scheduled for January 30, 2018 in Owen Sound.
Grey County OPP with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) continue to investigate the collision.
Wellington County Emergency Services (EMS) and the North Wellington Fire Department (Mount Forest) assisted at the scene.
