Vehicle In Bean Field Prompts Call To Real Police – Repeat Offender Arrested – MCPHERSON

(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On October 2, 2017 at 6:20 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle in a bean field along Hayes Lake Avenue in Kinloss Township. Officers arrived and found the vehicle, a Green Dodge Durango, still in the bean field.

Members of the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Canine Unit helped the South Bruce OPP locate the driver; who was arrested without incident.

Thirty-two-year old Ian MCPHERSON of Owen Sound was charged with drive while disqualified, mischief, possess break-in tools and 2 counts of fail to comply with probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 1, 2017 to answer to the charges.

The value of the damage to the bean field is estimated to be more than $1,500.
