(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motor vehicle and farm tractor collision at a Concession 11, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, July 25, 2014 at approximately 2:49 p.m., Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a two vehicle collision involving a passenger car and a farm tractor.
Investigation has revealed that a black Ford passenger car being operated by a 16 year old male of Norfolk County, Ontario was eastbound on Concession 11 and a farm tractor being operated by a 47 year old male of Norfolk County, Ontario with a 10 year old passenger was westbound when both vehicles collided.
No injuries were sustained as a result of the collision however fuel spilled from the farm tractor resulting in the Ministry of Environment being notified. Norfolk County Fire Service assisted in containing the spill.
Through the course of police investigation, a 16 year old male was charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences.
Take motor vehicle without consent
Careless driving
Driving while under suspension
Drive motor vehicle – no licence.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
