(Town of Petawawa, ON) On Thursday August 28, 2014 Officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment received a missing person complaint. As a result a water search is being conducted by Ontario Provincial Police Marine Operators for a 61 year old male last known to be kayaking on the Ottawa River. The male left in the early afternoon operating a yellow kayak.
The Joint Rescue Co-Ordination Center (JRCC) is attending Petawawa to assist in an aerial search for the male. If anyone has any information contact the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment.
