(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has just re-opened a portion of Harriston Road (County Road #87) that had been closed earlier today due to a serious motor vehicle collision.
At approximately 7:10 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department personnel responded to the collision scene located on Harriston Road (County Road #87 just east of C Line Road.
Members from the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) have determined the driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt was travelling eastbound on Harriston Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the south ditch landing upright.
The lone occupant was transported to hospital in London by air ambulance. Jason SIMMONS, 28 years of age from Wingham remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
