(WARREN, ON) – On June 7, 2014, officers from the Warren Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment had responded to a collision on Highway 17, within the Municipality of Markstay-Warren involving two passenger vehicles and one motorcycle.
The investigation revealed that an eastbound car had crossed the centre striking a westbound sports utility vehicle (SUV). The eastbound car continued across the westbound lane and struck a westbound motorcycle head-on. Both passenger and driver of the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, John HEMMINGWAY, 59 years of age, from North Bay has been charged with Careless Driving of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 28, 2014 in Sudbury.
