Update: OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS TWO VEHICLE CRASH IN ORO-MEDONTE TOWNSHIP

The lone male occupant of the pickup truck has passed away at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The lone male occupant in the tractor trailer was treated and transported from the scene to Soldiers Memorial Hospital by Simcoe County Paramedic Services for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators advise that they expect the intersection of Old Barrie Road and Line 7 of Oro-Medonte will remain closed until 1:00pm to complete their investigation.

OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS TWO VEHICLE CRASH IN ORO-MEDONTE TOWNSHIP
(ORO-MEDONTE TOWNSHIP,On) – Members of the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred at 6:25am at the intersection of Old Barrie Road and Line 7 in Oro-Medonte Township.
Investigators are being assisted at the scene by members of the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TTCI), Oro-Medonte Fire Service, Simcoe County Paramedic Service and the Ministry of Labour.
The crash involves a tractor trailer gravel hauler and a pickup truck and investigators are suggesting that the intersection will be closed for approximately 4 hours for investigation.
Area roads that are closed for traffic control are- Ski Trails Road at Line 7, Line 9 and Line 6 at Old Barrie Road, Horseshoe Valley Road and Line 7.
