(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment investigated a serious motor vehicle collision at a North Road, Houghton, Norfolk County, ON address.
On Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at approximately 5:21 pm, the OPP were dispatched to a North Road, Houghton address as a result of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist.
Through investigation it was determined that a 1983 red Honda off-road motorcycle was travelling north bound on North Road. A grey 2013 Volkswagen was travelling south bound on North Road when the vehicle proceeded to turn east bound into a driveway of a residence. The off-road motorcycle collided with the motor vehicle ejecting the operator from the motorcycle.
As a result, the 39 year old motorcycle operator was transported to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and then subsequently transported to a London Health Sciences Hospital with life threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, August, 7, 2013, at approximately 5:38 pm, 39 year old William LAMB from Bayham, ON was pronounced deceased by the attending physicians.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is continuing.
