(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On May 21st, 2015 at approximately 6:05 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedic Service responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving 2 vehicles.
As a result of this MVC one of the drivers a 27 year old male from Barrie is deceased. The driver in the other motor vehicle a 72 year old female also from Barrie was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation into this fatal motor vehicle collision is ongoing with the assistance of Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) members.
Police still have a section of Hwy #26 closed off between Klondike Park Road and 12 / 13 Side Road Sunnidale, to aid emergency personnel and to protect the motoring public.
