(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On August 4th, 2014 at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wasaga Beach Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a 2 vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Klondike Park Road east of Power Line Road.
An initial OPP investigation revealed that a westbound motorcycle entered into the eastbound lane on a curve and collided with an eastbound motor vehicle.
The motorcycle operator, a 70 year-old male from Wasaga Beach, was transported to hospital however has since passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Police did have a section of Klondike Road closed to aid in this investigation, which is ongoing at this point.
