(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – On Friday the 10th of October 2014 at 12:30 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision between a fully loaded cement truck and a Crossover SUV. Both motor vehicles were travelling northbound on County Road 10 just south of the 3rd Line of New Tecumseth when the cement truck collided with the Crossover SUV. Both drivers and occupants were transported to hospital with serious injuries. One of the passengers in the Crossover SUV, 26-year old Michael LALONDE was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The investigation has concluded and the female driver of the cement truck, 53-year old Meredith ORR of Georgian Bay Township has been charged with Careless Driving and is scheduled to appear in court on the 14th of January 2015.
