(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – Members of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 19 between Road 92 and Road 96 in Zorra Township at approximately 7:25 a.m. on March 12, 2014.
OPP, Uniondale fire department and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) all responded to assist at this location. Highway 19 remained closed several hours for the investigation.
The vehicle driver, Cornelius Thiessen, 29 years old of Aylmer, was transported to area hospital and pronounced deceased. The tractor trailer driver was uninjured.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
