UNRELATED INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DRUG CHARGES

(INGERSOLL, ON.) – On February 27, 2014 at approximately 11:05 p.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members responded to a call on Tunis Street in Ingersoll.

While attending the residence on an unrelated matter, police observed 29 marihuana plants of various stages of growth. The value of the plants is undetermined.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of a male resident.

Police have charged 47 year old Chris CLEMENTS of Ingersoll under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kilograms
Adult Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana

The male is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 15, 2014.
