(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 24, 2014, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle speeding on Highway 124 in McDougall Township. At approximately 11:57 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the lone female driver in the car to which a strong odour of marihuana was emanating. Police investigation and a search of the vehicle led to small quantity of marihuana being seized.
Alyson BULLEN, 31 years of age from Chapman Township was charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA). She was also charged with Drive while under suspension as per the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 6, 2014.
