(NAPANEE, ON) On Sunday, October 27th 2013, at 2:13 p.m. officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were notified of a plane crash in Tyendinaga Township.
Tyendinaga Fire Department and Mohawk Fire Department attended the wooded area north of Lazier Road and West of Wyman Road. A single-engine ultra-light plane was located completely destroyed.
The pilot and lone occupant, 49 year-old Russell WOOD of Harrowsmith, was found deceased inside.
Transport Canada will be attending the scene in the morning to assist with the investigation.
