(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the West Region Highway Enforcement Team officers were conducting a RIDE check at Old Greenfield Road and Newport Road.
On Friday April 4th, 2014 at approximately 10:00 p.m. officers stopped a red 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. The officers observed marihuana in the vehicle and conducted a search. The officers located a large amount of marihuana.
Joni FARMER 19 years of age from Six Nations of The Grand River First Nation and Natalie MCEACHERN 20 years of age from the City of Brantford are both facing the following criminal charges
Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg
Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Resin- over 1 gram
Both accused are scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on June 6th, 2014 to answer to the charges.
