(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Sunday July 28, 2013, at 1:35 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 23, at Line 26 south of Mitchell.
Investigation revealed that a Volkswagen sedan was driving west bound on Line 26 when it crossed Hwy 23 at the stop sign controlled intersection. A north bound Volkswagen sedan driving north bound on Hwy 23, the through highway, T boned the driver’s side of the crossing Volkswagen.
The 40 year old male driver and the 41 year old female passenger of the north bound car, both residents of Toronto, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The 36 year old male driver and the 15 year old male passenger of the west bound car, both residents of Waterloo were transported to Stratford General Hospital with minor injuries. The West Perth Fire Department assisted with the extrication of one of the involved persons.
Both vehicles were demolished as a result of this collision. The Perth County OPP is continuing to investigate this collision.
