Two Vehicle Crash Sends Four To Hospital

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Friday July 07, 2012 shortly after the noon hour, Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 23 and Perth Line 20 (Russeldale).

A West bound silver 2010 Ford car traveling on Perth Line 20 proceeded to cross Hwy 23 directly into the path of a North bound 2006 purple Chrysler car. The vehicles collided and sustained extensive damage. The 56 year old female driver of the Ford from Milton sustained minimal injuries. Her two passengers, a 55 year old male and a 54 year old female (both residents of Poland) sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Chrysler a 64 year old male from Mount Albert and his 64 year old female passenger also from Mount Albert sustained minor injuries. All persons involved with the exception of the driver of the Ford were transported to Stratford General Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ford was charged with “failing to yield to traffic”. The intersection was reduced to single lane traffic for almost two hours to allow for the cleanup of the debris.
