(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) At approximately 16:15 p.m. on June 02, 2011 a two vehicle crash at the intersection on Perth Road 119 (Hwy. 7) and Perth Line 20, between Stratford and St.Marys forced the closure of the highway.
The two vehicle crash involving a minivan and a pickup truck in the intersection resulted in serious injuries to the driver of the pickup truck. Air Ambulance has transported a male driver to the London Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries.
The OPP Western Region Technical Traffic Investigation Unit has been called to the scene and will be assisting the Perth County OPP with their investigation into the cause of this collision.
Perth Road 119 (Hwy. 7) has been closed at Perth Line 26 to the north and Road 115 to the south. Perth Line 20 has been closed at Road 122 to the west and Road 114 to the east. It is expected that these sections of road will remain closed until after 9 p.m. June 02, 2011.
Motorists are requested to find alternate routes around the collision scene.
