(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday the 23rd of March 2014, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 28 in the Town of Bancroft.
Investigation revealed that a Volkswagen car was travelling north on Highway 28 when it entered the southbound lane and struck an oncoming Jeep SUV.
The male driver of the Volkswagen, a 24 year old of North York, Ontario was transported to hospital by ambulance with major injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, a 50 year old female of Enniskillen, Ontario was transported to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
The names of the involved drivers are not being released at this time due to ongoing investigation into the collision.
