TWO MEN CHARGED WITH ALCOHOL RELATED OFFENCES

(LAKESHORE, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at approximately 1:00 p.m. in Belle River.

Officers discovered the vehicle on Notre Dame Street and the driver exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested at the scene.

Dennis LONG, age 33 of Windsor has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court on January 8, 2014.

On December 21, 2013 at approximately 7:00 p.m., while stopped at the scene of a collision on Essex County Road 35 in Comber, OPP officers observed a Ford pickup truck attempt to negotiate around the parked cruisers that were blocking one lane of traffic due to the crash. The pickup then continued onto the shoulder of the road and rolled his vehicle into a ditch causing the truck to be partially submerged in the water-filled ditch.

Police and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel extracted the male party from the vehicle as he was trapped. He was not injured in the crash.

The male exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

Allan NUSSEY, age 53 of Lakeshore was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court on January 8, 2013.
