Two Listowel Schools Victims of Break-ins

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday morning February 06, 2012 Perth County OPP officers in Listowel were dispatched to St.Mary’s Catholic School and Listowel Central Public School in response to reported break-ins.

Investigation into the break in at St.Mary’s Catholic School on Tremaine Ave. revealed that sometime between Sunday evening and Monday morning an unknown person broke two windows in the staff lunch room located at the back of the school (west side). The staff room was entered and a computer tower was removed from the room.

The break in at Central Public School occurred sometime between Friday evening and Monday morning. A classroom on the West side of the North wing was entered by forcing open a window. The classroom was entered and an Acer laptop with a 12” monitor was removed. Two 16” stem desk lamps were also stolen. One of the lamps has a purple half circular lamp shade while the other has a white conical shade.

The Perth County OPP are continuing their investigation into these two thefts, however anyone with information or knowledge of these thefts is requested to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
