Two Charged After Failing To Stop For Police

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 21 year old male and 19 year old female after failing to stop for police.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at approximately 12:50 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Street Crime Unit observed a motor vehicle that drew the attention of officers. The vehicle was observed travelling westbound on South Court Street East and then Northbound onto Highway 59, Oxford County, Ontario.

The motor vehicle failed to stop when police activated their emergency equipment. The vehicle eventually stopped at Second Road and Base Line Road at which time the passenger fled from the vehicle. A 19 year old female was taken into custody without incident.

The vehicle fled from the area however police later located and arrested the driver without incident.

Charged with the following offences is 21 year old William James LINDSAY of Norfolk County, Ontario.

· Flight while pursued by Peace Officer

· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

· Possession of Marihuana

· Fail to comply with probation order X2

Charged with the following offences is 19 year old Madison Lila FRANKLIN-BIDDLE of Oxford County, Ontario.

· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

· Possession of Marihuana

· Possession of Cannabis resin

· Fail to comply with Probation Order

Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
