On November 2, 2014 at 2:15 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Victoria Road and MacAlister Boulevard for a two car collision. It is alleged that a 2009 Ford Focus operated by an 87-year-old Guelph female was northbound on Victoria Road South. This vehicle was struck as it turned left onto MacAlister by a southbound 2001 Volkswagen Jetta operated by a 39-year-old Fergus male.
Both motor vehicles were demolished in this collision.
The 87-year-old female driver was transported to Guelph General Hospital with serious injuries and has since been transferred to the Regional Trauma Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital. She was reported in stable condition at the time of this media release.
The 39-year-old male driver was also transported to Guelph General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
