(PERTH COUNTY, ON) Since the official kickoff of the Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign in Stratford, on Friday evening November 22, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police officers have removed two drivers from Perth County roads who registered a blood alcohol concentration of between .05 and .08 on a roadside screening device. These motorists lost their driving privileges for three days.
Motorists are reminded that they could be stopped at RIDE programs 24/7 anywhere in the County. During the 2012 Festive RIDE campaign Perth County OPP officers conducted 205 RIDE programs checking a total of 13,000 drivers.
