(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) at approximately 9:29 p.m. police received a report of a male and a female entering a parked vehicle on Grey Rd. 18 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Police observed the suspects walking on Grey Rd. 18; both carrying large purses containing random items. They advised the officer that they needed a ride to Wiarton.
Investigation revealed the pair were attempting to hitch hike from south of Owen Sound. While walking southbound on Hwy. 6 & 10 and then west on Grey Rd. 18, the pair had been stealing items from an undetermined number of unlocked vehicles.
Danielle Kimberlie NELLES, 21, is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
Jess Raymond WATSON, 25, is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, as well as breach of recognizance.
Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
