Two 17 Year Old Drivers Charged As A Result Of Separate Crashes

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday April 30, 2011 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on Line 29 at the intersection of Road 111 (South East of Stratford).

Investigation indicated that the car driven by a 17 year old female from the Township of Perth East left the roadway. The impact caused minor injuries to the driver who was transported by Perth County Ambulance to the Stratford General Hospital for treatment.

The driver was charged with “careless driving”.

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) Shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday May 01, 2011 Perth County OPP officers were called to a crash on Line 40 and Road 102.

At the scene the officers located an SUV which had left the roadway and struck a tree. The male passenger was ejected from the vehicle and sustained non life threatening injuries for which he was transported to Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. The 17 year old male driver from the Township of Perth East was transported to Stratford General Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was charged with “careless driving”, and “class G1 licence holder-unaccompanied by qualified driver”.
