(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday July 26, 2011 at approximately 5 p.m. a delivery truck was south bound on Road 145 (a gravel road) South of Highway 8, when the top of the truck struck the bottom of the Goderich Exeter Railway overpass.
The entire roof of the box on the single axle delivery truck had been sheared off and the rear rollup door had been ripped from the back of the box. The roof and door were located on the ground behind the truck.
The railway overpass is properly signed with warning signs and has a posted height of 12’4â€Â.
The 61 year old truck driver from London was not injured as a result of this collision. The driver was following his GPS directions back to London at the time of the incident.
