(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment is investigating a motor vehicle collision at a Lakeshore Road, Houghton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at approximately 9:29 a.m., OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Investigation has determined that a pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Lakeshore Road when the driver of the vehicle lost control. The vehicle left the roadway striking a hydro pole and then a tree at which time the truck rolled over.
Norfolk County Fire Services had to extricate both occupants of the vehicle at which time paramedics attended to injuries.
The 45-year-old driver and 23-year-old passenger, both from Chatham, Ontario were taken to a local area hospital with minor injuries.
Hydro One has been notified and is currently on scene trying to restore power to Norfolk County residents in the area.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
