(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford County Detachment responded to an incident located at a Township Road 14 Blandford-Blenheim Township, Ontario address.
On Thursday, August 10, 2017 at approximately 3:49 p.m., OPP along with Blandford-Blenheim Fire Services responded to a vehicle fire.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a Ford pickup truck was travelling westbound on Township Road 14 and was hauling approximately twelve (12) bales of straw when the driver noticed that the straw was on fire. The driver stopped the vehicle and attempted to remove the straw to no avail. The truck and straw were completely destroyed.
Attending firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
