(ADELAIDE-METCALFE TWP, ON) – On January 17, 2013 at approximately 7:08 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Kerwood and Adelaide-Metcalfe Fire responded to a transport truck on fire on the westbound lanes of Highway 402 at Centre Road in Adelaide-Metcalfe Township. The transport truck was carrying a load of cars. Fire crews have since extinguished the fire and tow trucks are currently working on towing the transport truck off the highway.
Police will have the Highway 402 westbound off ramp to Centre Road closed for approximately four hours to assist with the removal of the transport truck.
There are no injuries sustained as a result of the fire.
