Truck and Tools Stolen From Business

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter to a business located at Norwich Road and Oxford Road 13 in Norwich Township on December 24, 2014.

The break and enter occurred sometime overnight between December 23 and December 24, 2014. The suspect(s) forced entry into the shop of Sunrise Equipment. A pickup truck and a variety of tools and equipment with an approximate value of $40,000 were stolen.

The stolen pickup truck, a white 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was recovered on the 15th Line in Zorra Township completely destroyed by fire. The tools and equipment remain outstanding.

The Forensic Identification Services responded to assist with the scene.

The investigation is continuing.

The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant for suspicious vehicles or persons that may be in your neighbourhoods. The public should try to get descriptions, licence plate numbers, direction of travel and report the information immediately to their local police service. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
