(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Members of the County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an incident after being called to a Brant Waterloo Road, North Dumfries, County of Brant, Ontario address.
On Monday, November 23, 2015 at approximately 12:16 p.m., the County of Brant OPP attended the address after a concerned resident located two (2) deer carcasses on the side of the roadway.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that between Friday, November 20, 2015 and Monday, November 23, 2015, unknowns dumped two (2) deer carcasses on the side of Brant Waterloo Road. The deer carcasses were located inside garbage bags and were missing their heads and fur.
The County of Brant OPP and Officers from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry are investigating this second incident of illegal “trophy hunting”.
Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the County of Brant OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
