(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance call received at Roho’s Bar & Grill on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg shortly after 1:30 a.m. on August 23, 2015.
OPP assisted with dispersing a large crowd that had gathered outside the business. A short time later a complaint was received of an alleged assault that had taken place at that location. The two male victims alleged to be assaulted by a male suspect who had left the area. The 19 year old victim received minor injuries, and the 18 year old victim attended a local hospital where he sought treatment for his serious but non-life threatening injuries to his face.
Shortly after 3:00 a.m. police located the male suspect on Brock Street causing a disturbance. After a brief struggle with police the male was arrested.
Through police investigation the male was identified as the suspect in the earlier assaults and was subsequently charged.
Travis MONTGOMERY, 20-years-of-age of South-West Oxford Township is charged with the following:
Causing a Disturbance
Assault
Assault Causing Bodily Harm
Resist Arrest
The accused was held for a bail hearing to answer to the charges.
