Travis KEATING – Theft

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On March 2, 2017, at approximately 5:20 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible theft in progress after an unknown male was observed inside a citizen’s vehicle, which was parked at a residence on Huntington Crescent.

The male subsequently travelled on foot to a local establishment but when police arrived, he fled. It was determined shortly thereafter that the suspect had become a passenger in a taxi, which officers located in the area and stopped. The male was arrested.

As a result of the police investigation, 26-year-old Travis KEATING, from London, Ontario, has been charged with theft under $5000 from a motor vehicle X2, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada X2, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was held in custody, and is scheduled to appear in a London court on March 14, 2017.

The Middlesex County OPP appreciates the assistance of the alert citizens who notified police and provided information which resulted in this individual’s apprehension.
