(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 12, 2014 at approximately 2:20 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a possible impaired driver that had left a local bar in Drayton, Mapleton Township.
Police patrolled the area and located a 2012 Ford F150 that matched the vehicle description given by the witness, in the south ditch of County Road 8. Police spoke with the male driver who was still seated behind the wheel and confirmed that he had been drinking.
Travis Fotheringham aged 25 of North Perth has been charged with Care and Control While Impaired and Care and Control Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on January 21, 2014 to answer to the charges.
