Trailer Comes Loose Knocking Out Hydro

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigated a motor vehicle collision at an Erie Boulevard, Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, July 8, 2016 at approximately 2:19 p.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision.

Through the course of investigation, it has determined that a vehicle was towing a camping trailer and was travelling on Erie Boulevard when the trailer came loose from the vehicle. The trailer left the roadway and struck a hydro pole guide wire resulting in power being lost to local residents in the area.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
