(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On April 12, 2014, just after 3:00 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a GMC pickup towing a trailer on Highway 401 eastbound near Mull Road.
Upon further observation, the officer noted that the trailer was not properly attached to the trailer hitch of the pickup.
Subsequent investigation also revealed that the 37 year old driver, Joseph MUCCIO, from Scarborough, ON, was driving while his licence was suspended and using a plate not authorized for the vehicle.
The driver is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on June 11, 2014, to answer to the following charges:
Speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Improper Means Of Attachment, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Driving While Under Suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle , contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
