(GUELPH, ON) – On March 12, 2015 at approximately 12:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped the driver of a 2002 Toyota on Woodlawn Road West in Guelph for a Highway Traffic Act violation. Investigation revealed that the driver and passengers were in possession of a quantity of suspected marihuana and suspected chrystal meth.
The vehicle driver Gerald RUDDY age 47 of Guelph-Eramosa Twp. has been charged with Possession of Marihuana and Possession of Chrystal Meth contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), Driving while under suspension, Improper number plate light, and Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and Fail to surrender insurance card contrary to the Canadian Automobile Insurance Act.
Christopher MATWIJSZYN age 30 of Guelph-Eramosa Twp. has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking contrary to the CDSA, Possession of Break-In Instruments, Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Fail to comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Stewart LETTS age 23 of Guelph has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the CDSA and Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
