(Hawkesbury, ON) On the 16th of November 2013, shortly after at 1:30 am officers intercepted a black Hyundai Genesis on John Street, in the Town of Hawkesbury during a RIDE checkpoint.
The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a passenger, Jonathan BATES (27 yrs) of Champlain Twp.
He was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with section 4(1) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at court in L’Orignal on December 4, 2013 at 9am.
