(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male being charged with a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) related offence.
On April 10, 2015 an OPP officer conducted a traffic stop, stopping a vehicle on King Street West in Omemee. During the investigation the officer determined that marihuana was present in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Devon BYATT, 20 years of age, of Fenelon Falls, was arrested and charged with possession of marihuana, under 30 grams, contrary to the CDSA.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May 14, 2015.
