(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent traffic stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male facing two charges.
On April 12, 2105 an OPP officer conducted a vehicle stop on King Street East in Omemee and during the investigation determined that marihuana was present in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Jimmy CONSTANTINOU, 66 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with failing to wear a seat belt, contrary to the Highway Traffic act and with possession of marihuana, under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May 14, 2015.
